"We are here to celebrate International Women's day. I am blessed to have many of these wonderful women as friends, colleagues for a very long time. Others I was fortunate enough to interview. These women inspire me everyday, they are role models, mentors, volunteers. They are aware across the globe, here and abroad that millions of women and girls are struggling. They expose the misuse of power; which results in child brides, genital mutilation, sex trafficking, violence against women. They give of their time, vast talents to inspire conversations, provide services that ensure women and girls have more choices, be it better health care, access to education, shelter and counseling.
